Let It Flow, Let Yourself Go

Saturday vintage and second-hand store shopping was semi-successful. I spent a bit more than I planned, but I got a cool t-shirt from the 1984 summer Olympics in LA, a knitted beige sweater long enough to be a dress, and a small navy box shaped purse with a long strap (which I've been looking for one FOREVER). When I got home my mom was in our attic looking for something so I went up and found an old pair of my brother's jeans (hellooo new jean cutoffs) and this really cool gray-multi knitted sweater of my dad's that he hasn't worn in years. Most of the stuff's in the wash now, but I'll try to post pictures soon!

oh, and happy purim!

The Hardest Button to Button

my current wishlist:
1. a blazer that actually fits me
2. cool graphic shirts
3. floral tights
4. long pearls and pendants
5. red lipstick

I hope to go shopping this Saturday (keyword: hope, this snowstorm is crazy, but it did get me out of school today and tomorrow!). I'll be looking for thrift shops, since I'm still pretty broke. Crossing my fingers that I'll find something awesome!

Wouldn't I love, love to explore that world up above?

February break is over and I'm super tired/sick/hungry. Thankfully, my day became significantly better when Emma gave me this lovely watch she got for me in Disneyworld (she's on Lookbook, check her out http://lookbook.nu/user/124505-Emma-R). Ariel is my absolute favorite princess (followed by a close tie between Jasmin and Belle). I'd do anything to be a mermaid right now :)

Lazy Sunday

(jacket: Ralph Lauren (it's my brother's), tank top: Forever 21, skirt: Target, leggings: Pink Rose)

Sorry my photos have been kinda dark, there isn't much light in my room during the winter. Anyways, I found this awesome skirt at Target the other day and couldn't wait to wear it. I thought it might look cool with the blazer my brother gave me when he grew out of it, but it's still pretty big. I really need to start buying clothes for myself...

Doc Marten Love

Normally my style is pretty cheap (15 years old + no job = noooo money) but I'd be willing to splurge for these boots. I've been meaning to get a pair for a while, and when I saw these on the Doc Marten website I fell in love. They're not so wintry, but I hope I can save up enough babysitting money in time for spring. Oh spring, pleeeeease come soon!

First Look

(striped shirt: my brother's, shorts: H&M, black tights)

I'm not really a photographer, and I have a pretty out of date camera, but I managed to take these. It's going to be a pretty lazy week for me, I'm off from school and most of my friends are on vacation. I'm a bit snowed in today, so my brother and I will probably just watch TV and cook something.

Hello World

Hello World!

I'm psyched to finally be starting my own fashion and style blog. Ever since my mother bought me The Teen Vogue Handbook and I learned that fashion blogger is an actual job, I couldn't wait to start my own. I'm so inspired by magazines, blogs, and the style I see on the street. The picture above is of some Teen Vogue cutouts I keep on the walls all around my room.

Until my next post,

Maia
